The barcode on the left is the commonly known
EAN code.
The EAN code corresponds to a 13-digit number sequence, also known as a GTIN. This standardized procedure uniquely defines a product worldwide in the retail industry, as an EAN code is only assigned once. To avoid confusion with the second code on the belt, we mark the codes accordingly. Once production has started without any problems, we will check to what extent it is possible or necessary to visually adapt the imprint or supplement the existing belt designation.
The second barcode is the
trace code,
which enables us to trace the respective production steps internally. The sequence of digits in the code itself comes from the respective production paper from production and, if batch tracing is required, provides more details on the materials used, etc.
