The Arntz Optibelt Group celebrated the inauguration of the first phase of its new production facility in San Juan del Río, Querétaro, Mexico.
With an investment of 500 million pesos (approx. 23 million euros) and the creation of more than 90 jobs, this opening represents an important step in the Group’s global expansion strategy.
Local government representatives took part in the festivities, including María Guadalupe Gómez Rodríguez, Secretary for Integral and Economic Development of the Municipality, as well as Genaro Montes Díaz, Secretary of State for Economic Development of the federal state of Querétaro. Both representatives underscored the importance of this investment for the region and emphasised the role of Querétaro as a strategic location for international companies.
With this production site, Optibelt intends to serve the Latin-American market better and more quickly, as well as the US and Canada. “This facility marks a milestone in our history. In total, Optibelt plans to invest around 1.5 billion pesos (approx. 69 million euros) in the site by 2027, which will create more than 600 jobs in the next years. Thanks to the latest technologies and a focus on the highest quality standards, the San Juan del Río factory will become a pivotal point for supplying the American market.
This investment underscores the Optibelt Group’s long-term commitment in the region and strengthens Mexico’s position as a strategic production site. “We are proud of being part of the emerging industrial landscape of Querétaro and are looking forward to growing together with the local authorities and our committed local team”, concludes Ummen.
