Description
Reliable fixation of free belt ends
optibelt CP clamping plates for timing belts are used to fix free belt ends and are primarily used in mechanical and plant engineering for linear drives. Linear drives convert rotary motion (rotation) into linear motion (translation). They are used, for example, in positioning systems and in palletizing and gantry systems in the field of conveyor and transport technology. Other areas of application include automatic door and gate drives, incremental encoders in elevator systems, and linear displacement tables for machine tools.
Form-fitting fastening with precisely fitting profiles
In linear drives, the timing belts ends are preferably fastened using clamping plates. These represent a secure and inexpensive solution. The timing belt ends are fastened to the rear of a tool slide, for example, using a clamping plate. Form-fitting clamping is achieved by means of precisely fitting tooth profiles.
Our standard optibelt CP clamping plates made of aluminium have eight profile-dependent tooth gaps to accommodate the teeth of the timing belt. They are manufactured in accordance with the ISO 254 quality standard and are ready for installation with through holes. They ensure secure clamping of the timing belts up to their respective breaking point and are available in common profiles in imperial and metric pitches as trapezoidal and round arch profiles.
