Financial Sustainability

Economically sustainable action means acting with foresight with regard to existing and future challenges such as climate change, digitalization and globalization. Resources are used efficiently in order to be and remain competitive.

By generating our own PV electricity and consistently switching to energy-efficient LED lighting at our production sites, we have not only reduced our energy costs to date, but have also reduced our ecological footprint.

Our responsible corporate management is based on the principles of corporate governance and, in addition to fair business practices, also includes the integration of sustainability into business decisions and processes: Economic success and investments are harmonized with social and ecological responsibility. We expect our business partners to act in accordance with our corporate values and to act responsibly and sustainably. We also participate in a recognized ESG rating in order to make our sustainability performance transparent and continuously improve it.

Our Code of Conduct also represents the cornerstone for sustainable conduct within the Arntz Optibelt Group and is further substantiated by our corporate policies. We also pass this on to the supply chain with our Code of Conduct for Business Partners. An anonymous reporting system ("whistleblowing") has been part of an effective compliance system not only since the European Union directive. A corporate culture in which everyone has the opportunity to report grievances anonymously is a matter of course for us. The system can already be used to provide information from the supply chain (Due Diligence Act).

Ecological Sustainability

Environmental protection is an essential part of our corporate policy. Resource and energy efficiency are key areas of action for ecologically sustainable action.

We have established our environmental management system since 2004 in order to systematically record and continuously improve the ecological impact of our actions. The successful recertifications are both proof of the path we have taken so far and an incentive to continue improving our processes in the future.

Certified management systems:

  • ISO 14001 Germany
  • ISO 14001 Romania
  • ISO 14001 China
  • ISO 50001 Germany
  • ISO 45001 China

In addition to the continuous optimization and maintenance of our management systems, we focus on making our carbon footprint visible. Our direct and indirect emissions are determined in accordance with the GHG protocol.

The Arntz Optibelt Group is already focusing on sustainable energy procurement and infrastructure at its company locations, for example by installing photovoltaic systems and charging stations for electric cars as part of sector coupling. In addition, the procurement of green electricity is part of a sustainable energy policy at the German and European locations. Optibelt is on its own initiative on the way to climate neutrality by 2040.
