    X-ray protection for people


    Our optibelt ELASTOMIT-R X-ray shielding material shields X-rays in a wide range of applications. Excellent shielding values are achieved through the use of different metals. The rubber content ensures outstanding flexibility at a low weight. Our product range includes leaded as well as light lead and lead-free versions.

    The materials are based on a vulcanized rubber matrix, which stands for a high degree of flexibility and low residual deformability under mechanical stress.

    Significant reduction of plasticizer content and minimization of unpleasant odours through vulcanization.

    Wide range of applications in human and veterinary medicine as well as in X-ray construction.

    For safety reasons, all X-ray protection films - up to a Pb equivalent value of 0.35 mm Pb - are also 100% checked for defects using a Hi-Scan continuous X-ray system.

    X-Ray protection for food


    Safety plays a special role in the food industry. In order to meet the high demands of the food industry, Optibelt offers lead-free protective curtain materials for X-ray systems, which are used to detect foreign bodies in food, among other things. Some qualities are also especially suitable for contact with unpackaged goods. Our material is therefore the ideal solution for combining X-ray protection and the high demands of food safety.

Our products are used as protective curtain material in X-ray inspection systems for the detection of freight and baggage at airports. Our particularly robust products are characterized by extraordinary gliding properties and flexibility and are therefore tailor-made for the high demands of baggage and cargo handling. Optibelt quality thus contributes to smooth processes at airports.

    Applications

    This X-ray protection sheet is specially designed for the shielding of X-rays in X-ray inspection systems which are used for freight goods and luggage.
