Höxter, 7th October 2025.
With a total of 4,395 km cycled, Optibelt sent a clear message in favour of sustainable mobility during this year’s CITY CYCLING campaign in Höxter. From 1 to 21 June, 19 employees participated in the initiative, securing fifth place in the municipality’s overall ranking.
“We are very proud of our employees’ commitment – and that, as a team, we were able to underline how important sustainability is to us”, said Romy Schneider, Health Manager at Optibelt.
In Höxter, a total of 38 teams of 498 active cyclists participated in the event, together saving around 18 tons of CO₂. Optibelt’s subteams “Werkslogistik” (1,592 km) and “Optibelt V(litzer)8” (672 km) showed particular dedication.
For its strong performance, Optibelt also received an award in the category “Best newcomer team with the most kilometres cycled”. At the end of September, the certificate was presented during the closing ceremony on Höxter’s market square. Hannah Timmermann and Marian Struck accepted the certificate on behalf of Optibelt from Daniel Hartmann, Mayor of Höxter.
